The simplest solution to start with is our “first big boy’s bed”. It’s a stylish day bed, made out of solid birch hardwood. It’s the centerpiece to all Maxtrix combinations – you can build out any of our combinations starting with this bed.

There are many additions available to turn this bed into a perfect, customized solution for almost any boy’s room:

• To make sleeping extra safe, you can add safety rails.
• To make it extra-comfy, a variety of cushions can be added
• To have the perfect color-coordinated setup, we offer mattress covers in our key colors
• For extra style you can chose from 3 finial styles, and 2 different headboard heights
• To make sure your child gets the right support, 3 mattress choices are available
• All our beds come with a slat roll, so no need to buy an additional Bunkie-board
• 2 storage drawers, or a trundle bed can also be added
• A variety of extra accessories such as bedside trays and magazine pouches are also available.

A nice addition to the basic day bed is our top tent. It’s a great way to bring some play value into the bedroom! The top tent can easily and quickly be assembled and disassembled. It gives a nice sense of privacy, but because it has a large window it’s not too overwhelming.
